Tropical Bottoms

I have never had an issue with diaper rashes since switching to cloth diapers until the Fourth of July! I think it may be more of a heat rash than a diaper rash, but nonetheless it is no good. So what to do??

First step was to let his little bottom air out. However, if you have a little boy you know that can be a messy situation, so I opted to use a snappied prefold or fitted diapers without covers. This way we still wouldn't have any messes if he had to go. Then I applied some CJs BUTTer to the rash. By the end of the day his rash had shrank in half!

Today I am alternating between CJs BUTTer and Virgin Coconut Oil. A couple diaper changes later the rash is almost nonexistent! Everyone should keep some Virgin Coconut oil on hand. It is not only great for diaper rashes, but can also be used for numerous other ailments.

Here is a small list of ailments that Virgin Coconut Oil can help relieve:
  • Burns
  • Chapped Lips
  • Dandruff
  • Diaper Rash
  • Insect Bites
  • Dehydration
  • Pimples
  • Head Lice
  • Sunburn
Check out this link for some info on how to use Virgin Coconut Oil.
